Sierra Crest Over Long Lake
As the spring thaw brings new runoff into Long Lake, water flow begins carving a path around the massive ice cap formed over a long, cold winter. In the background, Mt. Abbot (right), and the Bear Creek Spire (left) form the rugged crest of the Sierra Nevada, well over 13,000ft.
